"When I first moved to Bay Shore I visited this State Farm office hoping to save some money. Janine patiently went over my current coverages and we spoke about what she could offer. Janine looked at my policies and pointed out some areas that she felt could be adjusted in my favor, either due to lack of coverage or incorrect amount. She did this not knowing if I would switch to State Farm. I waited because I was unsure of what to do, but eventually switched all my policies over to State Farm. If you are looking for an agent that is honest, helpful and has your best interest in mind this office is it!"

"This is an exceptional office. Professional, knowledgeable, caring. Danielle is a pleasure to work with and knows how to get things done! Back story - we switched to DiPalma's office as our previous agent at the Bay Shore State Farm office was unresponsive to questions about our policy and most notably cost us money as they did not give us the 10% deduction for the safe driving class for 2+ years. After 5 months of trying to work with the Bay Shore office to resolve issues, we decided to cut our loses and move on. We were not going to discuss the issues regarding the Bay Shore office, but Danielle was sincere in wanting to know why we wanted to change agents. Not only did Danielle answer questions about our policy, she immediately understood the issue regarding the safe driving discount, took quick action, and we received a check within two weeks of our first visit to the office - amazing! "Poor Customer Service

Received this response from Janine when I inquired about insurance coverage I’ve never heard of that happening before,” and “That’s not what insurance is for"

I am submitting a formal complaint regarding my interactions with Janine DiPalma, which I found to be dismissive and unprofessional.

During two separate inquiries, I requested clarification on insurance coverage. In response, I was told, “I’ve never heard of that happening before,” and “That’s not what insurance is for,” without any explanation or guidance. These responses failed to address the questions presented and reflected a lack of professionalism.

In a prior conversation, Janine indicated that my review negatively impacted her record of positive feedback. This response is inappropriate and reflects a concerning prioritization of reputation over customer service. Addressing and resolving customer concerns—particularly negative feedback—is a fundamental responsibility.

Despite being informed that my concerns would be relayed and addressed, no follow-up communication was provided. This includes my 2025 inquiry and my April 2026 visit, during which another agent acknowledged the issue and stated it would be escalated.

Additionally, standard messaging stating, “We DO appreciate your business immensely and your concerns will certainly be heard & addressed within 24 hours,” has not been upheld in practice. No substantive response or resolution has been provided.

I declined the request to discuss this matter in person, as the concerns have already been clearly documented and do not require repetition.

This pattern reflects a failure to provide adequate customer service, communication, and accountability. I expect a formal response addressing these concerns, along with a clear explanation of coverage inquiries and the steps that will be taken to prevent similar issues moving forward.
